Well one of the option is that you use Microsoft Outlook tool to download all your emails to your computer so that you could read your emails even in offline mode. The pop3 access by Gmail and Hotmail will help you to download messages through email client. But most of the email clients aren’t portable so that you could carry them in your USB stick and the Microsoft Outlook would be a heavy tool to just access your messages.

Here is one of the email client named Mailstore a windows only utility, that fits our requirement. Mailstore is a Freeware tool, it works without requiring any configuration and a portable version for your USB stick is also available.

Download a portable version of Mailstore and extract the files to your USB drive.

Here is a small tutorial on how it works.

Mailstore would pull all your email messages from your mail folder and store it in a centralized location. If you have a huge mailbox you can specify the emails to be skipped in the step 4. You can select or skip various folders of your mail like spam and junk folders. Here are the 6 steps to configure a Gmail account.

Step 1 : Run the Mailstore application and click on “Archive E-mail“.

Step 2 : Select “Google Mail”.

Step 3 : Enter your Username and Password of the mail account you wanted to access.

Step 4 : Advanced settings in this step would help you to skip mails as required.

Step 5 : Now in this step the application basically would pull all your mail messages into your computer.

Step 6 : After step 5 now you could actually access your mail messages offline and view its attachments too.

Now that the USB Flash Drive that you carry has your Email messages and you can access your mails anywhere working offline.

Pic Scatter

Pic Scatter created by Till Haunschild is one of the amazing application i have seen in the recent days.

This application Pic Scatter allows user to upload images into its interface and it produces the sliced images within no time. It even has some of the settings such as zoom settings changing the position of the image etc.

After its all done just click on “Download Pictures” and now upload your pics to your profile and follow the step 5 of Method-1 in “Customizing Your Facebook Profile“.

Schweppes Profile App

Schweppes Profile App is an Facebook application unlike Pic Scatter. Compared to Pic Scatter, Schweppes Profile App has fewer options.

Add Schweppes Profile App to your Facebook account. Go to the app upload your image and you have setting such as zoom settings, pic rotation etc.

In this app you dont need to save your pictures into your disk. Schweppes saves your pics directly into your photo album.

There are still many applications just made for the “New Facebook Interface” to make the profile page of the users creative ! I find Pic Scatter and Schweppes are one of the best applications among them.

Here is the quick guide to enable ‘Undo Send’.

As said earlier ‘Undo Send’ is a feature of Gmail Labs, you need to switch to standard view if you wanted to activate the feature.

Click on settings on the top right corner of the page.

Then go to Labs and search for ‘Undo Send’.

Now enable the feature and click on save changes.

Now that the ‘Undo Send’ feature is enabled lets set the time.

Go to the ‘General’ tab under settings and search for ‘Undo Send’ settings column. Now you can set the time  to either 5,10,20 or 30 seconds and save the changes.

There you go, you are all done !

Many users worry about the mail’s they send it accidentally, this would be the best feature for canceling the sent mails.

Here are the 3 awesome image search engine’s GazoPa, TinEye and BYO Search Image Lab which search images around the web.

GazoPa :

GazoPa is a image search service by Hitachi, America which is in beta stage as of now. At GazoPa users can search images from the web based on the picture provided by the user himself. GazoPa allows users to either upload a picture or the URL of the image or draw an image with the drawing tool provided by the site it self or just by a keyword. GazoPa enables users to search for a similar image from characteristics such as a color or a shape extracted from an image itself. GazoPa retrieves the similar images from the web using the image features provided by the user.

GazoPa also include tools such as iPhone app and GazoPa FireFox plugin. GazoPa FireFox plugin enables user to search images on the web with right click which is convenient and fastest way to search images on web.

TinEye :

TinEye is a reverse image search engine. It finds out where an image came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or if there is a higher resolution version. TinEye is different from GazoPa because it searches for image results that exactly match the photo you upload.

Like GazoPa, TinEye has got the browser plugin for FireFox, Chrome and Safari which enables user to search images on the web with right click functionality !

BYO Search Image Lab :

BYO Search Image Lab is similar as that of the GazoPa but GazoPa matches the overall composition but BYO matches only on colour. BYO’s super cutting-edge algorithms will analyze your image and carefully determine its dominant properties. Once it learns about its shapes, colors, and textures, it will instantly summon all the pictures that your image resembles.

To obtain a profile like mine all you gotta do is follow any of these two methods :

Method – 1

1. Select a pic such that its resolution is high and crop it in such a way that your face fill up the pic like the one below.
2. Crop it to 700x500px with tools like Photoshop, GIMP such that you start slicing from your forehead like the below pic.
3. Now slice the pic as per dimensions marked in the below pic.

1. After slicing the pics save them into a folder and put the 200px image as your display pic and the 5 parts of 68px into your album.
2. After uploading all the five 68px pics into your album tag them in such a way that the 1 numbered slice  is tagged first then 2nd slice is tagged second, Continue the same procedure for all the pics. Finally the 5th slice is tagged last.

Method – 2

1. Here instead of just picking up the pic and slicing it simply download this PSD Template and import your picture.
2. Now, goto ‘File’ in menu and select ‘Save for Web And Devices’.
3. By clicking ‘Save’ the pic is sliced automatically as u set it in the step-1.
4. Follow the upload and tag procedure as in Method-1.

Now all you have is a very awesome n creative Facebook Profile !

Another council member, Todor Hristov, got fed up with the warnings and the game playing and made a formal proposal to remove Kerin from the council, and in the proposal wrote that Kerin should be removed because he “needs more time for his virtual farm”, as reported by Novinite.com.  When it came time to vote, the score was 20-19, according to AOL Games who is also covering the story.

Dimitar kerin was part of the 51 person council of Plovdiv, which is the second largest city in Bulgaria defended himself by claiming that other people in the Council had higher levels than him. Kerin was adamant in his defense, saying that he was not the only one on Farmville in City Hall.  He pointed out that a fellow councilman was at level 46 compared to Kerin’s own level 40, somehow assuming that this constituted a rational defense.

Addiction to Farmville can ruin your jobs, studies. So beware guys make sure u play the game only when needed not all the time
