After the launch of Google+, Google redesigned Google Calender and now its Gmail. Gmail has come up with a new theme called “Preview” and “Preview Dense”, giving a clean and classic look and making it easier to read than earlier.

To get the new interface log into your Gmail account click on the gear icon on the top right corner and click on ‘Mail Settings’.

Now click on the ‘Themes’ tab and look for ‘Preview(Dense)’ or ‘Preview’.

Preview uses the same space between text lines that Gmail has been using up till now, while the Preview(Dense) Dense leaves more space between lines and makes it all cleaner. Click on any one of the theme and the theme is applied.

Here is a screenshot of the new Gmail’s look:

Google calling these two preview themes “a sort of sneak peek” because it plans to make this design a permanent part of Gmail’s new interface, which “will eventually expand dynamically to accommodate different screen sizes and user preferences, but until then you can pick the information density that you prefer.”

If you dont like the new interface, you can still stick to the theme you used previously.

‘Undo Send’ a feature of Gmail Labs by Yuzo F, allows you to undo a sent E-mail. in Gmail Previously when Gmail was first launched users were given only 5 seconds of time to hit the undo, now the time to hit ‘undo’ can be extended to 30 seconds with this feature !

Here is the quick guide to enable ‘Undo Send’.

As said earlier ‘Undo Send’ is a feature of Gmail Labs, you need to switch to standard view if you wanted to activate the feature.

Click on settings on the top right corner of the page.

Then go to Labs and search for ‘Undo Send’.

Now enable the feature and click on save changes.

Now that the ‘Undo Send’ feature is enabled lets set the time.

Go to the ‘General’ tab under settings and search for ‘Undo Send’ settings column. Now you can set the time to either 5,10,20 or 30 seconds and save the changes.

There you go, you are all done !

Many users worry about the mail’s they send it accidentally, this would be the best feature for canceling the sent mails.

Google, i call it G Giant, has been one of the product/service that every person use it so often than any other. Google has its products almost in every field such as Google Search Engine, Google Mail, Google OS, Chrome Browser, Picasa, Orkut, Google Maps, Google Talk, Google Calender, Google Docs, Google News, Blogger, Youtube, Feed Burner, Google Sms Channel (India), Adsense, Adwords and many more. Google has been testing its products in every field and some of the services like Zeitgeist are closed. There are still many services which are very usefull and yet you dont know about them. In this post i’m gunna describe 5 such services of Google.

Google Health :

Google Health is a personal health information centralization service by Google. It is sometimes known as personal health record services. The service allows Google users to volunteer their health records – either manually or by logging into their accounts at partnered health services providers – into the Google Health system, thereby merging potentially separate health records into one centralized Google Health profile.

Google Health has been under development since mid-2006. In 2008, the service underwent a two-month pilot test with 1,600 patients of The Cleveland Clinic. As of May 20, 2008,Google Health has been released to the general public as a service in beta test stage.

Volunteered information can include “health conditions, medications, allergies, and lab results”. Once entered, Google Health uses the information to provide the user with a merged health record, information on conditions, and possible interactions between drugs, conditions, and allergies.

Google Movies :

Google Movies is one such service that allows you to know the movies that are being played near your place. Its basically a Search Engine. It also provide information like reviews, rating, cast, so you can know where your favorite movie is being played even if you are in middle of traffic through your mobile

Google SketchUp :

Google SketchUp is a 3D modeling program designed for architects, civil engineers, filmmakers, game developers, and related professions. It also includes features to facilitate the placement of models in Google Earth. It is designed to be easier to use than other 3D CAD programs.

SketchUp was developed by startup company @Last Software, Boulder, Colorado which was co-founded in 1999 by Brad Schell, and Joe Esch, which was first released in August 2000 as a general purpose 3D content creation tool, with the tagline “3D for Everyone”.

Google acquired @Last Software on March 14, 2006, attracted by @Last’s Software’s work developing a plugin for Google Earth.

On January 9, 2007, SketchUp 6 was released, featuring new tools as well as a beta version of Google SketchUp LayOut. LayOut includes 2D vector tools, as well as page layout tools intended to make it easier for professionals to create presentations without jumping to a third-party presentation program.

Google Notebook :

Google Notebook is a free online application that allows users to save and organize clips of information. The browser-based tool permits a user to write notes, clip text and images, and save links from pages during a browser session. The information is saved to an online “notebook” with sharing and collaboration features.

Having a notebook is quite helpful, but it is not possible to carry with you every time. Google Notebook is a powerful alternative that lets you keep your notes online. It comes in handy while you are working on any project or collecting information.

Google Moon :

Google Moon is a service similar to Google Maps that shows satellite images of the Moon. It was launched by Google on July 20, 2005, the 36th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing. The landing site of each of the Apollo missions is shown on the satellite image, providing more information on each mission as the user zooms in. Another such service is Google Mars.

Here are the list of complete Google Products.
